This is my first time booking a cat grooming appointment, how does it work?
Firstly, welcome to the world of cat grooming! Here’s how it works..
-
Complete the online booking form or get in touch to book an appointment (please note my opening hours when making your booking). You will be contacted if there is a query with your request. Check out the ‘Services‘ page for the list of services that are available.
-
You will then receive a booking confirmation via email and a meeting invitation.

Appointment day – I will come to your home with my equipment. For best results, please provide me with a well-lit and confined space where I will have access to water. Depending on your cat, you may need to hold your cat during the grooming appointment.
Where is the best place for the grooming to be done?
There isn’t a particular preferred room, as long as it’s a well-lit and confined room/space (with limited hiding spaces for your cat) where I will have access to water.
Do I need to prepare anything for the grooming appointment?
Nothing in particular. I will come to your home with my foldable table and equipment but please bear in mind, depending on how your cat reacts to grooming, for the safety of the cat, the groomer and the holder (owner), I may need help with holding the cat during the grooming process. Also, please remember not to feed your cat less than 2 hours before your appointment.
I’m not sure how to hold my cat during the grooming process, will you be able to advise?
Yes certainly. If you are unsure feel free to let me know and I’ll be able to guide you on how you can safely hold your cat during the grooming process. There are various holding techniques we can use depending on the age, condition and behaviour of your cat.
What if my cat starts getting aggressive during the grooming process?
Cats have very short patience and therefore it could be likely that they start getting fidgety and potentially aggressive during the grooming process. I have protective gear to ensure the safety of the holder (owner), the cat as well as myself. It could also be because they’re nervous and anxious but the best way to handle this situation, as the owner, would be to try your best to calm yourself down and not get anxious as your cat would detect that energy and get even more anxious.
For the safety of the cat, the groomer and the holder (owner), a comfy cone or air muzzle will be put on the cat.
Furthermore, you should always disclose any aggressive or difficult behaviour when making your booking.
